Ingredients

  • 1 pouch of SOMOS™ Spicy Refried Beans
  • 1 jar of SOMOS™ Smoky Chipotle Medium Salsa
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
  • 1 cup Oaxaca or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup crema or sour cream
  • ½ cup cotija cheese
  • ½ red onion, sliced

Prep

  1. Add 1 tbsp of SOMOS™ Spicy Refried Beans & shredded cheese onto each tortilla
  2. Roll the tortilla tightly and secure it with a toothpick to keep the filling inside
  3. Repeat with remaining tortillas
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and carefully add the rolled tortillas into the pan
  5. Fry until each flauta is golden-brown & crispy, flipping halfway through (about 2-4 minutes)
  6. Transfer flautas onto a paper towel to remove excess oil
  7. Serve warm with shredded lettuce, sour cream, cotija cheese & sliced red onion
  8. To top it all off drizzle SOMOS™ Smoky Chipotle Pepper Salsa on your flautas
