Ingredients

  • 1 pouch SOMOS Chipotle Refried Beans
  • ½ pouch SOMOS Taco Simmer Sauce
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream (plus extra for the spiderweb)
  • 2 cups guacamole (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup fresh salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • ½ cup sliced black olives (reserve 1 whole olive for the spider body)
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Prep

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until fully cooked. Stir in ½ pouch of SOMOS Taco Simmer Sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes until saucy and flavorful. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Spread SOMOS Chipotle Refried Beans evenly on the bottom of a shallow serving dish. Top with the taco-simmered beef for a hearty, flavorful base.
  3. Add the guacamole in an even layer over the sour cream. Spread salsa or pico de gallo over the guacamole, then sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  4. Finish with the toppings: Sprinkle with chopped tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro
  5. Create your spooky web: Place a few tablespoons of sour cream in a piping or zip-top bag with the tip snipped. Pipe concentric circles on top, then drag a toothpick from the center outward to make a web
  6. Add the spider: Add a plastic spider in the middle and some olives around the web
