Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips (about 12 oz)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 pouch SOMOS Taco Simmer Sauce
  • 1 pouch SOMOS Mexican Black Beans, drained
  • 4 cups nacho cheese sauce, warm (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese (optional for extra melt)
  • Optional toppings: sliced avocado, pickled jalapeños, guacamole, hot sauce

Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through (about 6–8 minutes).
  3. Stir in SOMOS Taco Simmer Sauce, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 3–5 minutes until well coated and saucy.
  4. On a large sheet pan spread a generous layer of tortilla chips. On a separate large sheet pan, spread a layer of nacho cheese.
  5. Spoon over the saucy ground beef and SOMOS Mexican Black Beans evenly across the nacho cheese, and some shredded cheese and any other toppings.
  6. Bake cheese sheet pan in the oven for 8–10 minutes, just until the cheese is melty and everything is hot.
  7. Remove from the oven and slowly pour the cheese & chili mixture over the entire sheet pan of chips
  8. Serve immediately with lime wedges and optional avocado or guac on the side.
